Fun with Letters
One of Ivan's new favorite things to do is play with his letter cards that Aunt B bought him. Daddy and Ivan will sit for what seems like an eternity (for Ivan) and go over each letter and what it stands for. They have so much fun and it is amazing to see how well it holds Ivan's attention. This kid is a mover!!!
SNOW
We finally braved the cold and took Ivan out in the snow last weekend. Our yard was nothing but drifts, so it was very hard for Ivan to walk around. After falling down numerous times, he finally just stayed down and said "this my seat" on the side of a 4 ft. drift. We decided we should pick him up and carry him around the huge drifts so he could play in the back of the yard. He then insisted on playing on his slide-well, that would have been lots of fun if he was actually able to climb up the side. After a very short time outside, Ivan walked around to the front of the house, into the garage and up to the door. He was officially done with all of the snow and drifts. So, we stripped him down and let him warm up. The bottom two photos are after Ivan discovered Daddy's very fun winter hat. He had lots of fun wearing it around the house, along with Daddy's shoes.

Mallory is 1!!!
Little Miss Mallory turned 1 on January 2nd and we all had so much fun celebrating with her. Ivan had lots of fun helping her open her toys and playing with them as well. Mallory was a huge fan of her cake, but for some reason her mom would not let her have a second helping! I guess she will have to come to Aunt Lori's to have some extra cake next time :)

Christmas Day
We woke Ivan up bright and early Christmas morning so we could go down stairs to see what Santa left for all of us. However, when we woke him up and asked "Do you want to see if Santa left you some presents" he responded "No, I go night night" Well, we got him out of bed and got him ready for the day anyway and I think he was pleasantly surprised. He loved all of his toys, but quickly got tired and slowed way down half way through. We tried to hurry him along as we had to load him in the car and head to Grandma's house for Mike's family Christmas. He took lots of breaks to brush his animal's teeth and search through is stocking again, but we finally opened all of the presents under the tree. We then jumped in the car and headed to Grandma's house just in time for another round of gift opening! Ivan was not having this-he wanted to play, not unwrap more presents. So, I opened most of his gifts. I didn't mind though because I think I am often more excited about the gift than he is!
We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!
