Look What I Can Do......

I have always loved it when babies play with their feet, so I was so happy when Ivan discovered his little wonders at the end of his body. We were have a lot of fun with Ivan this morning when he decided that he would take off his socks. He was so excited when he was able to get ahold of his socks and actually pull them off. I have a feeling that we will not be able to keep socks on this little guy much longer!

Just a cute picture

Mike took this picture of Ivan while he was waiting on me to get everything ready to go. It is amazing at how much you have to pack for an outing with a little one. I just love Ivan this picture of him in his winter hat. I like to call these hats toboggans, but Mike and his family insist that that is a sled not a hat. I think they are all crazy!

Look Who Just Turned 4 Months

I think Ivan would like to share with you that he is now 4 months old! This photo was taken on St. Patrick's day as Mike was getting ready to head out of town for work. It was the first time that we were left home alone :( It was pretty sad, but Aunt Kristen decided to come stay with us for a few days and we had so much fun with her!
St. Patrick's Day is actually a very special day for us. Mike and I found out that we were pregnant with this adorable little boy exactly one year ago! It was our first month trying and we did not expect to get pregnant right away, so we were not even going to take a pregnancy test. We discussed the test for several hours and then finally decided to make a trip to Target to pick up a test. Then we had to discuss whether or not I was actually going to take the test. I think we were a little concerned that we would be let down since we were both convinced that we were not pregnant. Finally I took the test and a few minutes later we found out were were going to be parents! We were both very excited, but also very nervous. I did not want to tell anyone because I was so afraid that something might go wrong. However, Mike decided to tell everyone right away! He even took a picture of the pregnancy test and sent it to his family. I am pretty sure my mom will always be a little upset with me because I decided not to tell her right away. I honestly was a nervous wreck and just needed to know it was real before I spilled the beans!

Blizzard

Today we experienced a near spring blizzard. Who would have thought that we would have a blizzard in March??? Mike actually drove most of the day in the blizzard while Ivan and I stayed nice and warm inside. For some reason Mike seems to like driving when ever we are under a level 3 snow emergency and it always makes me a nervous wreck. When Mike got home he went outsided and took a ton of pictures to try to document how much snow we had. I am so ready for Spring!

Big Boy Bed

Ivan is now enjoying his big boy bed. I am not so happy about him being in his very own room, as I like having him very close by at all times. He is doing very well in his crib and even slept through the night the first full night in his own room. I was sure he would have a hard time sleeping all alone in his scary new room, but apparently I was the only one that had a hard time sleeping.
