Tongue

Ivan has rediscovered his tongue recently. He first discovered it during his 3 month photo shoot with Auntie M. She had a very hard time getting photos that did not have his tongue sticking out and or his hand on his face. We thought this was going to be a problem, but I think it actually made for some great photos! Now, he appears to be enjoying his tongue yet again. Just a few days ago, I looked over at him and it looked like he had a large growth on his lip, but it was just his tongue! He continues to stick his tongue out while doing just about everything. At times it looks a bit creepy, but he is still adorable in my eyes!

Our new puppy........

Ivan has become very fond of this small stuffed frog. It is actually one of the toys that used to hang from his carrier when he was an infant. Now, he prefers to put the feet in his mouth and go about his normal business with the rest of the frog just hanging out of his mouth. As you can see, he enjoys his frog while he is trying to climb the stairs, looking out the window, just chilling and even when he is crawling to his mommy for comfort after falling down. Doesn't he remind you of a little puppy walking around with his favorite toy?

Where's Basa?

Ivan has been very intrigued by Basa for quite some time now, he even waves and says "hi" to her when she enters the room. So, when Basa ran to her cat door and disappeared, Ivan NEEDED to see where she went. Now, we can not keep him away from this fun contraption! He is constantly crawling over to the cat door (on his way to the Kitchen of course) and trying to take a peek into Basa's world. The only problem is that the the hanging flap usually ends up in his mouth, which means we have to cover the cat door and end play time.

Ivan's new friend

We were finally able to make a trip to see Ivan's brand new buddy Emerson. Emerson was absolutely adorable and Ivan could not get enough of him. He so badly wanted to see him and touch him. At one point he was pulling himself up on Jason's leg so that he could get a little closer to him. I think we need to buy Ivan an Emerson doll! I know the photo of the four of us is pretty bad considering none of us are looking at the camera, but it was the only photo where you can actually see the boy's faces and where Ivan wasn't jumping out of my arms to get to Emerson. The other photos of are of Ivan on his way home with his blanket. He absolutely loves this blanket and it seems to give him great comfort. I just think he is too cute when he is rubbing it on his face when he gets tired.

Playing with Daddy

Mike and I took Ivan outside to play after dinner tonight. It was such a nice night and I thought it would be nice to get a few photos of Ivan with his Daddy. We ended up getting many more photos of Ivan trying to eat the grass. As soon as we put him down, he instantly pulls out a handfull of grass and tries to eat it. He actually did manage to get a big chunk of dirt in his mouth just before we could stop him!

Campus

Mike and I met when we were in College at OSU so campus has always been a special place for us. Since we have lived in Clintonville, we have going to campus and just walking around. We even had our engagement photos taken on campus (see photos below from Banks photography) So, today we decided to take Ivan on his first campus adventure. Mike actually walked to campus with Ivan one time before, but because I was not with them and Ivan slept through the whole trip, I am going to pretend like it never happened ;) We had lots of fun during our trip to campus and hope to go back again very soon when we have much more time to spend! We also hope to take a few photos in the stadium next time. We were actually able to get in this time, but we really did not have enough time to take our time with photos-so maybe next time!

Grandma's House

Today we went to Grandma's house to swim and play. We do not have any photos of Ivan in the pool, but we did take some video. He had a great time swimming and playing the piano. He acutally prefered to play with his feet and ended up standing ont he piano! He also missed Aunt Kelly while she was at work, so he decided to go play in her room real quick before we went home!

Finger Foods and Sippy Cups

Recently Ivan has decided that he really likes finger foods. We have been giving him Cherios for a while now, but he is now eating other finger foods such as pancakes, peas, carrots, bananas and cheese. He really preferes to feed himself over his pesky baby food! He is also using his sippy cup a lot more, but really does not get any water out of it unless we remove the valve. Then he is amazed at the amount of water that comes rushing into his mouth.

Ivan also has 2 bottom teeth now. They started coming in almost 2 weeks ago, but we do not have any photos of them yet. He pretty much refuses to let us look at his teeth!
