I had a flex day on Wednesday, so my mom and Mike decided to take the day off as well and we headed to the zoo. It was a very cold day, but it was so nice that there were very few people there. As you can see, Ivan does not care to keep his socks on. It seems to be a very fun game for him to constantly take them off just as soon as I put them on. He could not keep his socks on, but he did manage to keep his hat on all day. We spent a good portion of our day watching the gorillas, so I inculded a picutre of the gorilla that Ivan called "da da" I think mom started it by telling Ivan the gorilla was his da da and then Ivan contined to say "da da" over and over. It was pretty funny!

Our Little Buckeye
Here are a couple cute photos of Ivan decked out in his scarlet and grey. The adorable hat was a gift from my manager that I received while I was still pregnant. I have been waiting a very long time to put this hat on Ivan. It is still a little big since he has such a small head, but it is still cute! It has little buckyes that hang down from the top, which Ivan loves to play with!
Lunch with grandma, Aunt B and Auntie M
A few weeks ago, we met Grandma, Aunt B and Autnie M for lunch at Cheese Burger in Paradise. It had been a few months since Ivan had seen everyone, so he was very excited to spend some time with them. Ivan had lots of fun playing with Aunt B and with the fun gifts that she brought him. As you can see we took lots of family photos outside of the restaurant before we left.
Getting Caught Up!
We have had a very busy couple of weeks with keeping our house presentable for showings, preparing for numerous job interivews (which seemed to pay off), preparing for Aunt Kristen's shower and thinking about Ivan's FIRST birthday. Needless, to say I have gotten behind on the blog! Ivan has been keeping us very busy as well. He is so fun and active! I guess I haven't really blogged about about all of the fun things he does, but he does have a lot of fun things going on right now. He has been waving and saying hi, bye bye, ma ma and da da for months now. He has also been saying UH OH and giving hugs while saying AWWWW-it is adorable! His favorite thing seems to be throwing everything on the floor and saying UH OH. Yes, this is very cute, but it is NOT my favorite thing! His other new favorit thing is walking, yep Ivan can walk now. Ivan has been able to take a step here and there for a couple months now, but he really was not interested in walking until a few weeks ago. He is now able to walk across the room with out fallling. He will often choose to sit down and finish with crawling, but he seems so much more motivated to actualy walk instead of crawl. We have had so much fun with the game of having him walk back and forth from Mommy and Daddy and have it in video, so hopefuly we will post that soon.

Just let me sleep!

Apparently Uncle Marc and Daddy did not think Ivan should be sleeping though the whole Breast Cancer walk. So, as we were waiting on a few people to catch up, they decided they would get out the camera and basically harrass Ivan a bit. Uncle Marc was in Ivan's face trying to wake him and Mike was taking pictures. As you can see in the first photo, Ivan was sleeping so nicely and then you can see the progression of him waking up. He was not so happy once he realized he had two crazy guys in his face when he opened his eyes. As soon as they got out of his face and put the camera away, Ivan was fast a sleep again! He really is such an easy baby!
Breast Cancer Walk

I just love his long eye lashes!

On Sunday, Team Marty headed down town for the Breast Cancer walk. We had a team of about 15 people and we had such a great time. I was so happy to be able to support my mom and my Aunt Carol by putting this team together. I hope we are able to do it for many years to come. Thank you to all of my family and friends that understood just how important this was to me. It really meant a lot to me that so many of you were able to walk with us and/or donate to the cause. I think mom and Carol both had a great time and it was nice for them to be able to be surrounded by so many other survivors! I am so proud of both of you and love both of you very much!
As you can see it was a bit chilly when we arrived, so Ivan had to wear his very best hat-I just think it is so cute. It did take a bit of convincing to get him to keep it on at first, but he seemed to get used to it. My friend Maggie and her husband Kevin were able to make it out and we were all very impressed that Kevin held Ivan! It looks like Ivan was impressed by this as well!

Fun with Jace
Ivan and I went over to my friend Brooke's house for dinner on Saturday. Ivan had so much fun playing with her son Jace's old toys! He also loved playing with Jace after he woke up from his nap. As you can see in one of the photos, Ivan really like Jace. At one point Ivan was climbing all over him. We were not too sure what he was doing at first, but we quickly realized he just wanted to give Jace a big hug! I also managed to get a few photos of Ivan playing with Andrea and Kristen.
Brooke was such a trooper-she is VERY pregnant right now and definitely over did it while getting her house ready for company and making us all dinner! We did have a great time though-Thanks Brooke!

Our Beatles lover!

I know you can not see the shirt that Ivan is wearing so well in these photos, but he has on his very favorite shirt. It is his new Beatles shirt! As many of you know, I do LOVE The Beatles and I have decided that Ivan will love them as well. It is kind of the same thing as The Ohio State Buckeyes, he just does not have a chose as to weather or not he likes them-it was predetermined :) I tried really hard to get a shot of the shirt, but he was way too busy! As you can see Ivan now enjoys going through his diaper bag and by this, I mean he takes everything out, throws it over his shoulder and them crawls away. He usually makes a dash for the kitchen as soon as he is done. We can not keep this boy away from the Kitchen!
