Yummy!

Ivan sure is enjoying cereal, but he is a messy eater!

So, I am sure you have all noticed by now that Ivan has a bib on in almost every picture. Well, the reason for this is because our little guy has reflux. We discovered he had reflux when he was about 4 weeks old. He would cry and just look like he was in pain during and after feedings. I started noticing this when he would arch his back and just scream during his feedings. He was also spitting up a lot and he was not what you would consider a "happy spitter" So, I started reading up on his symptoms and made a dr. apt. The dr. confirmed that he had reflux and put him on some medication. The first medication did not work so well, but the second round has done the trick so far. He still has bad days with spitting up a lot, but he does not seem to be in pain. We are happy to keep a bib on him to catch the spit up as long as our little man is not in pain. It really was so awful to see him in pain! We are hoping that he will start to out grow this problem soon so that we can take him off of medication.
